Self-appointed and completely unofficial office DJ and event planner, our office admin Ellen wants to kind of know what happened. You know? Having left Nova Scotia years ago, landing first in Montreal and then in Vancouver, she had absolutely no intention of ever returning to Nova Scotia long-term. Somehow, someway, she has found herself back on the East Coast. Permanently. And now, here we are.
Ellen came to our team in 2020 and although she never really thought she’d end up working at a dental office, it’s been a surprisingly passable fit. What she lacked in a dental background she has more than made up with her, at times, extreme existential dread. While not hanging out with her family and friends, Ellen enjoys listening to podcasts, doing makeup, reading, disassociating, thrifting, and watching movies. Mostly Ellen comes to work in order to provide a better lifestyle for her adorable yet thankless cat, Bruce.
Her favourite part of the job is getting to work alongside her colleagues and chatting with patients. Her least favourite part of the job is changing our 6-minute voicemail for EVERY holiday and closure, but does it so her coworkers don’t have to (um, hero alert!).
Currently, Ellen remains on the hunt for silent investors for her spinoff animal dental office – The Barks of West Bedford Dentistry, but in the meantime remains an integral part of the admin team for our human patients.
